MANITOBA LOTTERIES THANKS COACH!

Manitoba Lotteries Thanks Coach! is a recognition program designed to recognize the often unheralded but very important role coaches’ play. The program pays tribute to coaches who display a special brand of care and concern for young people. At the games, a total of 16 coaches are recognized for their hard work and dedication.

To be eligible for a Manitoba Lotteries Thanks Coach! award the coach must:

1. Be actively coaching at the Power Smart Manitoba Games

2. Be nominated by an athlete, manager, official, parent, fellow coach or mission staff

3. Be considered competent and knowledgeable by their peers

4. Demonstrate concern for athletes above and beyond their performance in the athletic arena

5. Serve as a role model for athletes and other coaches by demonstrating good sportsmanship, concern for the personal growth of their athletes and adherence to community standards and values

6. Have completed at least one component of NCCP Introduction to Level A (Theory, Multi-sport module, Technical or Practical)
