The 2012 Manitoba Games Softball Program

The Manitoba Games is the Province's largest on-going multi-sport event and provides a unique and amazing amateur sport experience for all Manitobans. It is a great stepping stone to future competitions such as the Western Canada Games and the Canada Summer Games. The Softball competition of the Games will take place July 18-21, 2012 in Benito, Manitoba. The 2012 Manitoba Games age Category is 1998 - 1999 (Peewee Category of 2012 - under 14 years of age prior to January 1, 2012.


The Tournament

All 6 Rural Regions will have All Star teams identified for the Games and the final 2 spots in the tournament will be represented by the 2 Winnipeg teams with the best record following the completion (or earlier if necessary) of the 2012 MLSSL Peewee Division schedule.


Regional Identification/Selection Camps

Regional Coaches have been identified and these appointed coaches will be directly responsible for the program activity within their Region. The ID camps and team selection will be the responsibility of the selected coaches within each Region. The Central Region Camp dates are set for September 18, 2011 (Portage) and January 22, 2012 (Southport). Other Regional dates/locations/etc. will be provided by the coaching staffs and available on the Softball Manitoba Website as soon as we are notified. Camp dates, Program Schedules and Athlete registration fees will be dependent upon the Regional Coach’s time/budget needs (with approval of Softball MB).
