Call For Games Volleyball Coaches

The Manitoba Volleyball Association invites applications for the 2010 Power Smart Manitoba Winter Games Regional Coaching Staff.

14U Regional Teams: These programs will train in June thru August 2009 and again in January – March. It will conclude with participation in the 2010 Power Smart Manitoba Winter Games in Portage la Prairie.

Responsibilities:

Head Coaches - Duties to include organization, program management and administration, scouting and identification of athletes, team tryouts, training plans, etc. All duties associated with the successful operation of an regional volleyball program.

Assistant Coaches - To provide input and guidance and in conjunction with the Head Coach, facilitate the development and promotion of the Manitoba Games Programs.

Qualifications:

Evidence of sufficient expertise and experience essential to coaching success at a high level. Minimum NCCP Level ? or equivalent combination of training and experience required. If you do not meet the minimum NCCP level then you must be willing to upgrade.

Coaching experience at the Provincial Team level or equivalent would be a definite asset. Should have a minimum of three years experience head coaching at either JV or Varsity Level. Experience coaching in Tier I club volleyball an asset.

Availability to travel within Manitoba.

• Candidates should possess a combination of the following:
• a degree(s) in physical activity, education, sport or associate field of study
• demonstrated ability to work with elite athletes
• working knowledge of the 2010 Power Smart Manitoba Winter Games
• highly organized
